Tissue-resident memory T cells identified in the muscle of patients with myositis using single-cell RNA sequencing
Dr. Begüm Horuluoğlu has been serving as an Assistant Professor in the Division of Rheumatology at the Center for Molecular Medicine, Karolinska Institutet since 2023.She earned her Ph.D. in Molecular Biology and Genetics through a joint graduate program between Bilkent University and the National Cancer Institute (NCI) at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in the United States.
Dr. Horuluoğlu is a researcher specializing in immune cell development and cellular signaling mechanisms. Her work primarily investigates how signaling pathways regulate immune responses, with an emphasis on understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying immune system function. By combining advanced imaging techniques and genetic tools, she aims to elucidate how these processes contribute to both normal immune function and immune-related diseases.
